5 Seattle Coffee Shops You Have to Try

I am a coffee fanatic. So when my husband suggested we go to Seattle I jumped on the opportunity. Seattle is known as the birthplace of Starbucks and other amazing coffee shops. I was so excited to explore Seattle, try all the incredible food, and of course, find the best coffee.

Here are my five favorite coffee shops that I wish I could go back to!

1. Monorail Espresso

510 Pike St., Seattle, WA 98101

Starting off strong with the best coffee chain in Seattle, Monorail Espresso. I was so spoiled, this coffee shop was so close to the hotel! This walk up shop has 5 locations in Seattle that you could go to.

5/5 for incredible espresso, these iced Americano’s were perfection!

I loved this shop so much I bought beans to bring home. I wish I could regularly go back here.

2. Ghost Alley Espresso

1499 Post Alley Seattle, WA 98101

Located in Pike Place Market, down a set of stairs and next to the Gum Wall you will find Ghost Alley Espresso. This coffee shop is walk up only and is really unique. The baristas are incredibly nice and helpful. This is conveniently away from the hustle and bustle of Pike Place Market.

5/5! I loved my iced Americano here. Also being in Pike’s Place Market elevated this experience.

3. Cafe Allegro

4214 University Way NE (Entrance is in the alley) Seattle, WA 98105

This coffee shop is Seattle’s original espresso cafe. I loved the vibe in this coffee shop, there were so many seating options, with posters lining the walls. We enjoyed just to sit and take in the whole cafe. Cafe Allegro also roasts their own beans onsite, I had to get a bag to take home!

5/5! I loved my iced Americano and the cafe itself gets extra points! My husband’s Italian soda was also really tasty.

4. Cherry Street Coffee House

700 1st Ave., Seattle, WA 98104

After our walking tour with Bill Speidel’s Underground Tour, we stumbled upon a gem, Cherry Street Coffee House. It was a random chance that I found a great coffee shop! We went to the Pioneer Square location and the building was so cute. The interior is open and bright. It really feels like a great place to hang out or do some work.

4/5! My iced Americano was good but the espresso was a touch bitter. My husband had an Italian soda and really enjoyed it. Next time, I want to try some of their food options.

5. Cafe Flora

2901 E. Madison St. Seattle, WA 98112

This isn’t technically a coffee shop but, the cappuccino I had deserves a spot in this list. Also, the breakfast here was so tasty it elevated the whole experience. The espresso was really great and the latte art was perfect.

5/5! This was a great cappuccino. If I had more time, I would have tried some other coffees on their menu!

Final Thoughts

Seattle is home to some of the best coffee in the United States. I’m already planning my next trip back to find even more cafes. Bookmark this for your next trip to Seattle.
