Hi friends! Welcome to my concert series. I see quite a few concerts every year. I started this year strong and still have seven or more this year. So, where do you think I headed this time? If you guessed a member of One Direction, you’re right!!

Starting this year off strong, I saw Zayn in Las Vegas! I’ve been wanting to go see a Zayn concert for a long time and finally my schedule lined up to see him. He performed at Dolby Live by Park MGM. The concert was incredible, Zayn has amazing vocals. I could go on and on about the music (and I will), the unreleased album coming up, but I will get into that in a bit! Let’s get into the venue.
I have so many positives about Dolby Live. It’s one of the cooler venues I’ve seen a concert in. You can either enter from the street or head inside the casino for entrance. I was surprised that once we were inside the theater, you forgot you were even connected to the casino. I haven’t spent a ton of time in Las Vegas, but it really is impressive how much the city is able to pack into these hotels and casinos. My initial impressions were really positive.
Navigation
We entered from the casino and headed in. Upon entrance there was a lot of helpful staff navigating and handing out wristbands. We headed up the escalator and found our section. The signage inside was really helpful in finding where we needed to be. It was one of the easier experiences I’ve had in a venue. There were multiple concession stands close to our seats. I was so excited to see fun Zayn’s music themed drinks, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

How good is the sound anyway?
This venue is equipped with Dolby Atmos and the sound was incredibly clear and sounded amazing. The only time we couldn’t hear the sound was when Zayn came out! My husband and I couldn’t get over how clear the audio was. The only time I’ve heard Dolby Atmos speakers has been at the movie theater. This made for a really pleasant experience for listening.
This venue can only hold 5,200 people so no matter where you sit, you have a great view of the stage. The intimacy of the venue really enhances your concert experience. I’ve been to a lot of concerts at larger venues, mostly stadiums. The farther back you sit in a larger venue, the experience can be very different. I’ve sat at the very top row at Mile High in Denver and I felt like a viewer. In a smaller venue, you are feeling the intimacy of a concert. You feel like you’re a part of the concert.

Music
The best part of this review, Zayn’s music! I’ve been a One Direction fan dating all the way back to 2011 and was (still) gutted by Zayn’s leave and the band’s hiatus. I’ve been slowly seeing everyone from the band as they are all on their solo career journeys. I’m also sad to report I never got to see the band when they were together and this is the only way to fill that gap.
I did not know what to expect when I saw Zayn perform, but I was overwhelmed with emotion. He is just SO good. I was just blown away by his vocals. He’s just such a vibe! I had the best time. This concert lasted a little over an hour and he played a bunch of his best songs. Zayn also played some songs that will be coming out on his new album.
Final Thoughts
Of course I can’t let you go without a fit check!

Overall, this was one of my favorite concerts. I really enjoyed Dolby Live and of course, seeing Zayn. Of all the venues I’ve been to, this is one of the most intimate and allows you to really feel the music. I couldn’t recommend this venue OR a Zayn concert enough!
Keep an eye out for more concert reviews this year! I love live music and getting to see my favorite artists in person. I’ll catch you on the next one.
